On what was her first visit to a space company since her promotion, the Minister was briefed on recent success of the HTX campaign and saw how the company’s proprietary technology has the potential to revolutionise thermal management across multiple applications.

“It was a pleasure to show the Minister around our unique facilities and explain how SABRE will be a leading contender for the future of hypersonic flight and space access vehicles. She also met some of our smart graduates and apprentices and spent time with the team who are developing and commercialising applications derived from our ultra-light weight heat exchangers”.
Reaction Engines has raised over £100m in the last three years both from public and private sources, which has supported the Company’s transition from a successful research phase into development and testing of core engine components. In 2013, the UK Government announced £60m in grant funding to aid preparations for the design, manufacture and testing of key SABRE technology.
