Actions that make a difference

At Reaction Engines, we believe in allyship and strive to ensure that the actions we take genuinely make a difference. For us, this means making theory become reality and identifying AND removing barriers to equality.

How we do it

Increasing our awareness through perspective-led learning

We promote an open culture, where learning is encouraged through considerate dialogue. We listen to others’ perspectives and call in non-inclusive behaviours. 

Showing up and advocating for others

We recognise the value of different viewpoints and encourage those who feel unheard. We listen to understand, champion others, and practise empathy. 

Supporting projects in the local community

We use our passion to engage in community and STEM outreach and believe everyone has the right to pursue the career they desire, recognising that action is necessary to address inequality.

UK's Armed Forces

Reaction Engines is proud to support the UK’s Armed Forces community. As signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant, we have pledged that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society they serve.

Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers

Reaction Engines is proud to partner with the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK). As part of our partnership, we will be supporting AFBE-UK’s outreach programmes to grow conversations about a future career in STEM. With AFBE’s support we hope to encourage further discussions about race and continue to provide a safe space for our colleagues.
 

Women in Aviation and Aerospace Charter

Reaction Engines continues to be a signatory of the Women in Aviation and Aerospace Charter (WIAAC), a promise to support the progression of women into senior roles in the aviation and aerospace sectors.

STEM Returners

Reaction Engines is proud to be in partnership with STEM Returners to support engineers returning to work after a career break. Working with STEM Returners, we will support returning engineers with mentoring and coaching services, allowing them to be re-integrated into an inclusive environment on their return to the industry.
