Reaction Engines announces the appointment of new Chair.

Reaction Engines is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Dunne as Chair of the Board.

Philip has been a member of Reaction Engines’ Board since July 2021 and previously held the position of Senior Independent Non-Executive Director. He has served as Reaction Engines’ Acting Chair since April 2023 following the passing of the Company’s long-standing Chairman Nigel McNair Scott.

He is currently Chairman of the Environmental Audit Committee and has recently announced that he will be standing down from Parliament at the next General Election.

Following Philip’s appointment as Chair, Andrea Minton Beddoes, an existing Independent Director, will become acting Senior Independent Non-Executive Director.

Philip Dunne said: “It is an honour to be asked to succeed Nigel McNair Scott as Chairman of Reaction Engines, though in circumstances none of us would have wished for.

Reaction Engines is a hugely innovative Company that is bringing its ground-breaking thermal management technology to a range of aerospace, automotive, energy and other industrial applications.

I am delighted that Andrea has agreed to take up the Senior Independent Director role and I look forward to working with the Board and the executive team led by Mark Thomas to develop the extensive commercial opportunities open to the Company.”
