Dr Mark Lewis

Dr Lewis is a former Director of Defense Research and Engineering at the Department of Defense and a professor emeritus at the University of Maryland, where he has been a faculty member for 25 years. Still the longest serving Chief Scientist in U.S. Air Force history, he has conducted basic and applied research in hypersonic aerodynamics, advanced propulsion, and space vehicle design and optimization.

John 'JV' Venable

A Senior Research Fellow for Defense Policy at the Heritage Foundation’s Center for National Defense, JV is an authority on the operational capabilities of the U.S. Department of Defense, with an emphasis on air and space. In 2004, he commanded the 379th Air Expeditionary Group in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is also a former commander of the U.S. Air Force aerial demonstration squadron, the Thunderbirds.
