PMO Support Officer

The Role

To provide Project Management support for the successful delivery of Applied Technologies (AT) programmes and portfolio of Sub-Projects, including customer and internal reporting, working with and supporting the project teams to meet customer expectations and the Company’s business objectives.


Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Co-ordination of Projects data and reporting on behalf of the PM team within AT in alignment with the overall PMO function within Reaction Engines to ensure standards and best practices are maintained and implemented throughout the projects
  • Ensures key Project metrics for actuals versus estimates are in place and ensures these are fed back into the forecast
  • Supports the monthly finance project and programme reviews by liaising with Project Leads and Finance and reports any variance to Programme Manager and PMO Manager
  • Supports monthly project planning, forecasting and performance reporting with project leads and stakeholders
  • Supports PMs with schedule, budgets, scope and risk management according to the baseline plan and reports discrepancies within the projects
  • Supports the resource management process by reporting any variances in forecast vs. actual resource usage and costs or expenses incurred
  • Provides administrative support for meetings where PMO knowledge is required. This includes setting up and administrating programme meetings, including the recording of meeting action and decision logs
  • Monitors programme actions logs
  • Collates reporting information from a range of resources
  • Supports the programme managers and project leads through the project lifecycle in different areas
  • Supports Bid Managers by preparing schedules for the bid and the project execution phases
  • Supports training of project leads in methods and tools




  • Experience of working within or alongside project management
  • Experience of co-ordination and planning of projects
  • Knowledge of project management processes, methods, techniques and tools




  • Certification in Project Management


Skills and Behaviours


  • Minimum of intermediate… in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, MS Project
  • Competency in MS Visio
  • Confident communication skills

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000, depending on experience

Contract: Permanent

Working Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday.
