IT SharePoint Administrator

The Role

This key role at Reaction Engines in the IT Team carries responsibility for supporting, updating and maintaining the company SharePoint environment and its governance. You will be configuring our SharePoint platform, adding document libraries, and developing shared storage space and backup procedures. This includes responsibility for SharePoint based tools like Teams and OneDrive.

 

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Installing and performing maintenance the SharePoint platform, integrating applications, and creating libraries
  • Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues and providing support and end-user training
  • Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss
  • Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data
  • Reviewing usage and activity reports and adjusting ensure optimized user-experiences
  • Maintaining SharePoint network infrastructure, as well as managing encryption and security zones
  • To assist Head of IT, IT Infra Lead and IT ServiceDesk Lead with any other tasks which will help the IT team with its service provision
  • SharePoint administration and technical support for cloud Enterprise SharePoint
  • Utilize Sharegate tool for migrations of SharePoint sites and collections to the SharePoint Online Environment
  • Design, configure, manage, and maintain comprehensive site collection, site, and list level usage reports and usability analysis
  • Identify and report governance violations for Enterprise SharePoint using DLP and IRM configurations.
  • Update Documentation, check the validity and accuracy of any documentation that is used by the end users, site owners and Administrators
  • Design, document and Develop power flows as per to end users’ requirements and flows
  • Design, and develop required Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Work on tickets and service requests for SharePoint Online meeting the SLAs and KPIs
  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise taxonomy, terms, and keywords
  • Support Microsoft sync issues and work with the users to recover data lost
  • Test and implement new features and maintain required updates in liaison with other peers
  • Manage and delete Site Collections and sub sites in SharePoint Online system as per service requests
  • Information security management
  • Project management for SharePoint and be the focal point of coordination of service planning

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of troubleshoot issues and providing customer support for end users utilizing SharePoint
  • Able to schedule, plan, and performing system upgrades, including testing, rollback procedures and risk analysis for email and all related services
  • Experience of troubleshooting issues and providing customer support for service requests related to SharePoint Online and on-premises environments
  • Be able to conduuct high-level system administration on Windows and Linux operating systems, preferably both
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure

 

Desirable

  • Exposure to Cloud, SaaS, PaaS and IaaS, VMs is desired but not mandatory
  • Experience working with ISO standards preferably in an ISO certified environment
  • Experience with scripting, java, ASP, PHP or minimum of 2 of the development tools

 

Qualifications

Desirable

  • Certified ITIL is preferred but not mandatory
  • Microsoft SharePoint Administrator

This role attracts a competitive salary and excellent company benefits including 28 days annual leave (increasing to 30 days after 2 years’ service) plus public holidays, employee share scheme, employer matching company pension scheme, life assurance and a contribution towards onsite nursery childcare for children under 3 years of age.  We also offer dynamic working where employees split their time working from home and from our office in Culham.

 

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000

Contract: Permanent

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
